What is Tiny Footprints?
The arrival of a baby is a time of great joy and anticipation. But what happens when the baby arrives far too soon? The premature birth of a baby can wrench the heart and soul of their family. Research is the answer to find ways to save these tiny miracles.
Some Babies Are Born Too Soon
Prematurity is the leading killer of America’s newborns. Babies who survive preterm birth often have lifelong health problems, including cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, chronic lung disease, blindness, hearing loss, and failure to thrive.
Can My Donation Help?
Yes! Dollars donated to research have already made a big difference. In just the past decade many more babies born as early as 25 weeks gestation (normal pregnancy is about 40 weeks long) can now survive.
